How can I use the MGIB Ch 1606 benefit at UCSD?
Some reservists qualify for Chapter 1606 MGIB-SR. Please reach out to your reservist unit for information on eligibility.
Once you have received your Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE, or Certificate of Eligibility) from your reserve unit, please email a PDF copy to vao@ucsd.edu and include your PID.
As a reservist, do I qualify for priority enrollment?
Yes, undergraduate reservists can email their NOBE, or a copy of their Military ID card (front only) and we will add you to the priority enrollment list which begins on your second quarter at UCSD.
Please note that graduate student's enrollment periods are set by their departments, so they do not have priority enrollment.
