Chancellor's Greeting Hello, and welcome to UCSD I’m Marye Anne Fox, and I am honored to lead this outstanding institution and its extraordinary people. As you explore the Website, you will see why UCSD is considered “the youngest of the best” among top-tier research universities. Part of why I am so excited to be here is that, in less than a half-century, this campus has achieved great distinction in fulfilling its missions of education, research, and public service. As we go forward, we will expand our legacy of excellence by building on three UCSD trademarks: innovative scholarship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and international scope. We will strengthen our own community of scholars by enhancing its demographic and intellectual diversity.
