Computer Recommendations

If you purchase your own computer, make sure you meet the minimum requirements to avoid needing a major upgrade for four years:

Requirements for all computers:

• Current Microsoft Office suite
• Current anti-virus software package
• Current Internet Web browser
• RJ45 Ethernet cable
• 1 GB RAM / 80 GB hard drive

Additional requirements for PC (Windows):

• Pentium 4, 3.6 GHz or compatible processor (desktop only)
• 17-inch LCD monitor (desktop only)
• Pentium M, 1.8 GHz or compatible processor (laptop only)
• 10/100 Ethernet card / 802.11g wireless card (laptop only)
• Windows XP Pro or newer

Additional requirements for Mac:

• G5 1.8 GHz Processor (desktop only)
• 17-inch LCD monitor (desktop only)
• G4 1.5 GHz Processor (laptop only)
• OSX Version 10.3.8 or newer
