How to Check Your Financial Aid Award Status

Find out how to check your financial aid award status online.

• New freshman or transfer student starting fall quarter

  • Beginning in March, view your financial aid preliminary award notices (PANs) using MyApplication.
    • Read more about this procedure and about Financial Aid for Prospective Students.
  • If you've submitted your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), then beginning in May, your official awards will be available to review and accept using the Financial Aid tool.
  • Complete your file before the May 1 deadline.
    • Check your UCSD e-mail account often so you can reply promptly to requests for additional information or to view and accept your official awards.
      • You can have your UCSD e-mail forwarded to another account by changing your e-mail preferences.
    • Make sure you've submitted all requested documents before the May 1 deadline.

• New freshmen or transfer student starting winter or spring quarter

  • If you've been admitted for winter quarter: Beginning in December, access your financial aid status and view your awards using the Financial Aid tool.
  • If you've been admitted for spring quarter: Beginning in February, access your financial aid status and view your awards using the Financial Aid tool.
  • Complete your file before the deadline set by the Financial Aid Office.
    • Check your UCSD e-mail account often so you can reply promptly to requests for additional information or to view and accept your official awards.
      • You can have your UCSD e-mail forwarded to another account by changing your e-mail preferences.
  • Reapply for financial aid each year and check your awards status during the year using the Financial Aid tool.

• Continuing UCSD student

  • Beginning in May, access your financial aid status and view your awards using the Financial Aid tool.
  • Complete your file before the May 1 deadline.
