Express to Success Leadership Programs

Express to Success (ETS) offers 2 leadership programs that develop students' communication, public speaking, and leadership skills in a fun, interactive environment.

• The Triton Success Program is for students with little or no prior leadership experience or training. 
  • Application deadline is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. You can apply for and be admitted to this program during Fall Quarter only.
  • You must commit to the full academic year and successfully complete all program requirements to be recognized at the ETS Leadership Banquet on Thursday, May 13, 2010.
• ADVANCE! is for students who have had previous leadership experience or training.
  • Application deadline for ADVANCE! is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. You can apply for and be admitted to the program during Fall Quarter only.
  • You must commit to the full academic year and successfully complete all program requirements to be recognized at the ETS Leadership Banquet on Thursday, May 13, 2010.

Both programs incorporate:

• Interpersonal communication and public speaking training
• Leadership development and application
• Teambuilding and social activities
• Community service activities
• A student-produced final project

Triton Success Program

The Triton Success Program is a communication and leadership development program for emerging leaders, or any student with little or no prior leadership experience or training. The program meets Mondays, Oct. 26, 2009, through May 12, 2010, from 3 - 4:50 p.m. at the Price Center East (map), Cross Cultural Center Comunidad room.

This FREE yearlong leadership program incorporates:

• Interpersonal communication and public speaking training
• Leadership development and application
• Teambuilding and social activities
• Community service activities
• A student-produced final project

The selection process includes an online application and a Meet and Greet Session. Complete an application online by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. After completing your online application, you are required to attend the Meet and Greet Session on Friday, October 23, at 4 p.m.

ADVANCE!

This advanced communication and leadership development program for upperdivision and graduate students is co-sponsored by the UCSD Express to Success Programs and the Center for Student Involvement.

Applicants should demonstrate previous leadership experience or involvement in leadership development training on campus or in the community.

The 2009-2010 ADVANCE! program will meet from 12 - 2:30 p.m. at the Price Center East (map) on the following Thursdays:

• Oct. 15
• Oct. 29
• Nov. 12
• Dec. 3
• Jan. 14
• Jan. 28
• Feb. 11
• Feb. 25
• Mar. 11
• Apr. 8
• Apr. 22
• May 6

All participants must be available to attend a mandatory two-day retreat scheduled for Oct. 17-18, 2009.

To complete the program, you must attend every session and complete all program requirements.
