Academic integrity:

• Academic Integrity Office: What to know about academic integrity at UCSD — how cheating is defined, how to avoid plagiarism, the consequences for cheating and plagiarism, and links to lots of outside resources for learning how to improve your study and research skills.
• UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship: It's your responsibility to be aware of UCSD's policy on academic integrity. For students, this means that all academic work will be done by the individual to whom it's assigned, without unauthorized aid of any kind.
• UCSD Library: More resources to help you avoid plagiarism and learn more about academic integrity.

Advising:

• Virtual Advisor: Connect online with your college's academic advising office.
• Your college advisor will help you optimize your quarterly course schedule, help you select or change your major, and make sure you complete all college GE requirements and advance toward graduation.
• Your department advisor will help you with major or minor requirements and help you select courses in that department. The department advisor can also help you with prerequisites, petitions, and degree checks, and can refer you to faculty members for research and career advice.

Books and materials:

• Soft Reserves: Official course materials as well as lecture notes, practice exams and homework, and sample quizzes

Communication:

• Express to Success: Helps you build confidence and develop skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and leadership (which can affect your general academic performance).

Internships and service opportunties:

• Academic Internship Program: Apply your academic knowledge and skills in corporate and community settings while earning academic credit.
• TRIO Outreach Program: Provides undergraduate students with part-time employment opportunities as peer college advisors and tutors at local high schools.

Life skills:

• Improve your study skills and time management (and find more life-skill tips on the left-hand sidebar).
• UC San Diego Wellness Center: Work towards a healthy, balanced lifestyle so you can succeed both in the classroom and in life.

Organizations and clubs:

• Academics-oriented student organizations: Find study buddies and make connections at UCSD.

Research:

• Academic Enrichment Programs (AEP): Find research opportunities in almost every major, and pursue your dreams of obtaining a medical or other advanced degree.
• Faculty Mentor Program:  For juniors and seniors preparing for graduate or professional school.
• Hughes Scholars Program: Offers internships and research opportunities in the sciences
• Summer research opportunities: For graduate and undergraduate students, a wide range of opportunities, both on and off campus
• Your major department may know of other opportunities for independent study and research with professors. If offered, you may receive P/NP Special Studies course credit that shows on your academic record (e.g., Chem 99, 196-199).

Study skills and general academic support:

• Office of Academic Support & Instructional Services (OASIS): Provides free tutoring, workshops, mentoring, and counseling to UCSD undergraduates (both individual and group support)
• Hughes Scholars Program: Offers academic support (study groups, workshops, and tutoring sessions, mostly geared to the sciences)
