UCSD Recreation provides multiple opportunities for the UCSD community to participate in a wide variety of recreational pursuits:
Informal recreation includes basketball, volleyball, squash, racquetball, tennis, etc.
Aquatics programs offer two pools and a variety of offerings, including classes in swimming, water aerobics, and scuba
Intramural sports have more than 1,200 teams and over 10,000 participants annually
Masters sports programs include swimming, running, and triathlon and are open to anyone over 18
The Mission Bay Aquatic Center (MBAC) is one of the largest instructional waterfront facilities in the country, offering instruction in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, waterskiing, surfing, wakeboarding, rowing, and kite boarding
Outback Adventures offers a variety of outings and workshops, a climbing center, a challenge course, and a retail and rental equipment store
Recreation classes are available in aquatics, dance and the arts, fitness, martial arts, mind/body, safety, sports, and children and youth programs
Sports clubs offer team and individual competitive sports opportunities
Recreational and social clubs are open to the entire UCSD community
The weight rooms and personal wellness program provide nutritional counseling, personal training, and private massage
