If you notice leaky toilets or faucets on campus, or any other water waste, report them to Facilities Management Customer Relations, (858) 534-2930.
Suggestions that have been submitted:
- Discontinue use of ornamental water features.
- When you are washing your hands, don't let the water run while you lather.
- Instead of discarding small amounts of water left in drinking glasses, use it to water plants, etc.
- Drop your tissue in the trash instead of flushing it and save water every time.
- Stop watering altogether. (See FAQ for discussion.)
- Replace turf on campus with artificial turf. (See FAQ for discussion.)
- Replace all fixtures with low-flow versions. (See FAQ for discussion.)
- Discontinue power washing. (See FAQ for discussion.)
